Abstract (data abstract)
CERN-LHC. Measurement of the Wgg and Zgg cross sections in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8TeV, and limits on anomalous quartic gauge couplings with the Wgg channel. The W fiducial region is defined as follows: - pT(gamma) > 25GeV and |eta(gamma)| < 2.5 - pT(lepton) > 25GeV and |eta(lepton)| < 2.4 - one candidate lepton and two candidate photons - mT = sqrt(2*pT(lepton)*pT(neutrino)*(1-cos(phi))) > 40GeV, where phi is the angle between the lepton and the neutrino - DeltaR(gamma,gamma) > 0.4 and DeltaR(gamma,lepton) > 0.4 The Z fiducial region is defined as follows: - pT(gamma) > 15GeV and |eta(gamma)| < 2.5 - pT(lepton) > 10GeV and |eta(lepton)| < 2.4 - two oppositely charged candidate leptons and two candidate photons - pT(leading photon) > 20GeV - m(lepton,lepton) > 40GeV - DeltaR(gamma,gamma) > 0.4, DeltaR(gamma,lepton) > 0.4, and DeltaR(lepton,lepton) > 0.4.
