The long-lived particles interact with the CMS endcap muon system creating hadronic or electromagnetic showers, which create clusters of detector hits. The analysis is performed on a data set recorded in 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $41.6~\\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. Selected events contain at least one high-multiplicity cluster of hits in the muon endcaps and require the presence of a displaced muon. Stringent upper limits on $\\mathcal{B}(\\mathrm{B}\\to \\mathrm{K}\\Phi)$, where the long-lived particle, $\\Phi$, decays to a pair of hadrons are obtained for $\\Phi$ masses of 0.3--$3.0~\\mathrm{GeV}$ and $\\Phi$ mean proper decay lengths in the range of 10--$5000~\\mathrm{mm}$.","hasPart":[{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t1","@type":"Dataset","description":"Distributions of the CSC cluster time shown for signal samples with m = 0.3 GeV, c$\\tau_{\\Phi}$ = 100 mm, m...","name":"Figure 2"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t2","@type":"Dataset","description":"Distributions of the CSC cluster size $N_{hits}$ shown for signal samples with m = 0.3 GeV, c$\\tau_{\\Phi}$ = 100 mm,...","name":"Figure 3 (Cluster size)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t3","@type":"Dataset","description":"Distributions of the $\\Delta\\Phi$ between the CSC cluster and the trigger muon, shown for signal samples with m = 0.3...","name":"Figure 3 ($\\Delta\\Phi(cluster, \\mu_{trigger})$)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t4","@type":"Dataset","description":"The 2D distribution of the $\\Delta\\Phi$ (cluster, $\\mu_{trigger}$) vs the number of hits in clusters, in events from the out-of-time...","name":"Figure 4"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t5","@type":"Dataset","description":"Exclusion limits at 95% CL on the $B \\rightarrow K \\Phi$ as a function of the decay distance of the...","name":"Figure 5 (m = 0.3 GeV)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t6","@type":"Dataset","description":"Exclusion limits at 95% CL on the $B \\rightarrow K \\Phi$ as a function of the decay distance of the...","name":"Figure 5 (m = 0.5 GeV)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t7","@type":"Dataset","description":"Exclusion limits at 95% CL on the $B \\rightarrow K \\Phi$ as a function of the decay distance of the...","name":"Figure 5 (m = 1.0 GeV)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t8","@type":"Dataset","description":"Exclusion limits at 95% CL on the $B \\rightarrow K \\Phi$ as a function of the decay distance of the...","name":"Figure 5 (m = 2.0 GeV)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t9","@type":"Dataset","description":"Exclusion limits at 95% CL on the $B \\rightarrow K \\Phi$ as a function of the decay distance of the...","name":"Figure 5 (m = 3.0 GeV)"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t10","@type":"Dataset","description":"The estimated BR limits for a range of generator parameters: $0.3 < m_{LLP}$ < 3.0 GeV and 0 < $c\\tau$...","name":"Figure 6"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t11","@type":"Dataset","description":"The contour of the 2D distribution which includes the generation parameter values corresponding to the BR of 0.01.","name":"The contour of the limits for BR = 0.01"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t12","@type":"Dataset","description":"The contour of the 2D distribution which includes the generation parameter values corresponding to the BR of 0.001.","name":"The contour of the limits for BR = 0.001"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t13","@type":"Dataset","description":"Signal cut-flow efficiencies for the hadronic shower decay mode","name":"Signal efficiency: hadronic shower decay mode"},{"@id":"https://doi.org/10.17182/hepdata.157009.v1/t14","@type":"Dataset","description":"Signal cut-flow efficiencies for the electromagnetic shower decay mode","name":"Signal efficiency: electromagnetic shower decay mode"}],"identifier":[{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecord","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins2958479?version=1"},{"@type":"PropertyValue","propertyID":"HEPDataRecordAlt","value":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/157009"}],"inLanguage":"en","name":"Search for b hadron decays to long-lived particles in the CMS endcap muon detectors","provider":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"publisher":{"@type":"Organization","name":"HEPData"},"url":"https://www.hepdata.net/record/ins2958479?version=1","version":1}
