Antilambda production is studied inK−p interactions at 32 GeV/c. Both total and differential cross sections are presented. The inclusive\(\bar \Lambda \) production cross section amounts to 109±7 μb. A remarkable energy dependence is observed, σ(\(\bar \Lambda \)) increasing by a factor of four between 14.3 and 32 GeV/c. Thep⊥2 distribution exhibits an exponential fall-off with a slope of 3.3±0.2 (GeV/c)−2. Most of the\(\bar \Lambda \)'s are emitted in the forward hemisphere. The invariantx distribution increases between 14.3 and 32 GeV/c. Data are presented for\(\bar \Lambda \) production inK-p→Λ\(\bar \Lambda \)+XK-p→\(\bar \Lambda \)Kn+X, andK-p→\(\bar \Lambda \)p+X.

Inclusive cross sections and one-particle inclusive spectra are given for neutral K, Λ and Λ produced in K − p and K + p interactions at 32 GeV/ c in the 4.5 m Mirabelle hydrogen bubble chamber at the Serpukhov accelerator. The inclusive production of protons with laboratory momentum less than 1.2 GeV/ c is studied in the reacion K + p → pX at 32 GeV/ c . A comparison with the 16 GeV/ c data shows ahat the total cross section remains practically constant while the structure function shows a clear energy dependence. The data are compatible with a tripls-Regge expansion and with factorization. About 40% of the events include a K 0 in the final state. The analysis of the K 0 pX sample indicates a sizeable contribution of beam fragmentation and abundant K 890 ∗ and Δ ++ production.

The cross sections of several exclusive reactions in p p interactions are given. In the channels p p → p p π + π − and p p → p p 2π + 2π − which dominate the interactions, the single and double diffractive dissociations are analysed and compared to the results obtained with K ± p interactions at the same energy, pp and p p interactions at other energies. The test of factorization at the p → p π + π − vertex is well verified. The process p p → Δ ++ Δ ++ is studied and the cross sections of Δ ++ , Δ ++ , ϱ 0 and f 0 production are also given.

Inclusive production of vector and tensor mesons is studied in a K − p experiment at 32 GeV/ c in the MIRABELLE bubble chamber. The K ∗ 0 (890) , ϱ 0 and ω cross sections are comparable, about 4 mb each. The K ∗ 0 (1420 and cross sections are also comparable, about 1 mb each. The K ∗ o ̈ + (890), Φ, K ∗ o ̈ − (1420) and f cross sections beam fragmentation; ϱ production is almost forward-backward symmetric in the c.m.s. Results are presented on the inclusive π ± production in K − p interactions at 32.1 GeV/ c . The invariant longitudinal distributions have been calculated both for π + and π − in the backward c.m. hemisphere and extrapolated in the forward hemisphere under some physical assumptions. The inclusive cross sections for π + and π − amount to 32.9 ± 1.5 mb and 35.0 ± 0.7 mb respectively. The energy dependence of the inclusive pion production has been analyzed in the framework of Mueller-Regge phenomenology both in the proton fragmentation and in the central region.

The general features of p p interactions at 32 GeV/ c are analysed in a bubble chamber experiment with a statistics of 5.2 μb/event. The inclusive production of neutral strange particles and pions is analysed and compared to results obtained at other energies and in pp interactions. Total cross sections are determined for various 4C reactions and the relative contributions of diffractive dissociation and Δ Δ production to the reaction p p → p p π + π − are estimated.
