Using the CLEO-c detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we have measured inclusive and exclusive cross sections for the production of D+, D0 and Ds+ mesons in e+e- annihilations at thirteen center-of-mass energies between 3.97 and 4.26 GeV. Exclusive cross sections are presented for final states consisting of two charm mesons (DD, D*D, D*D*, Ds+Ds-, Ds*+Ds-, and Ds*+Ds*-) and for processes in which the charm-meson pair is accompanied by a pion. No enhancement in any final state is observed at the energy of the Y(4260).
Exclusive cross section for two body neutral non-strange charm mesons.
Exclusive cross section for two body charged non-strange charm mesons.
Exclusive cross section for two body strange charm mesons.
We report measurements of the exclusive cross section for $e^+e^- \to D \overline D $, where $D=D^0$ or $D^+$, in the center-of-mass energy range from the $D \overline D $ threshold to $5\mathrm{GeV}/c^2$ with initial-state radiation. The analysis is based on a data sample collected with the Belle detector with an integrated luminosity of $673$ $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$.
Cross section of E+ E- --> D0 DBAR0.
Cross section of E+ E- --> D+ D-.
We report the first observation of the $\psi(4415)$ resonance in the reaction $\e^+e^-\to D^0 D^-\pi^+$ and a measurement of its cross section in the center-of-mass energy range $4.0\mathrm{GeV}$ to $5.0\mathrm{GeV}$ with initial state radiation. From a study of resonant structure in $\psi(4415)$ decay we conclude that the $\psi(4415)\to D^0 D^-\pi^+$ decay is dominated by $\psi(4415)\to D \bar D{}^{*}_2(2460)$. We obtain $\mathcal{B}(\psi(4415)\to D^0 D^-\pi^+_{\mathrm {non-resonant}})/\mathcal{B}(\psi(4415)\to D \bar D{}^{*}_2(2460)\to D^0 D^-\pi^+)<0.22$ at 90% C.L. The analysis is based on a data sample collected with the Belle detector with an integrated luminosity of 673 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$.
The measured cross section for E+ E- --> D0 D- PI+.
We report a measurement of the exclusive $e^+e^- \to D^{(*)\pm}{D}{}^{*\mp}$ cross section as a function of center-of-mass energy near the $D^{(*)^{\pm}}{D}{}^{*\mp}$ threshold with initial state radiation. A partial reconstruction technique is used to increase the efficiency and to suppress background. The analysis is based on a data sample collected with the Belle detector at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance and nearby continuum with an integrated luminosity of 547.8 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider.

We present evidence for the exclusive reaction e+e−→Ds±Ds*∓, observed with the Mark III detector at the SLAC storage ring SPEAR. The Ds± is reconstructed in the φπ± decay mode, while the Ds*∓ is detected as a narrow peak in the recoil-mass distribution. The mass of the Ds* is found to be 2109.3±2.1±3.1 MeV/c2, yielding a Ds*−Ds mass difference of 137.9±2.1±4.3 MeV/c2. The width of the Ds* is <22 MeV/c2 at the 90%-confidence level. The observed signal corresponds to σ(e+e−→Ds+Ds*−+Ds−Ds*+)B(Ds+→φπ+)=30±6±11 pb at s=4.14 GeV.

D* cross sections.
A new technique is applied to data collected at the ψ(3770) resonance to derive charmed-D-meson branching fractions without relying on the measurement of D-production cross sections. Measurements are presented for three decay modes of the D0 (K−π+, D−π−π+π+, and K−π+π0 and four decay modes of the D+ (K−π+π+,K−π+π+π0,KS0π+, and KS0π+π0). The resulting branching fractions are significantly larger than previous measurements.
