Exclusive production of proton-antiproton pairs by two photon scattering at CM energies between 2.0 GeV and 3.1 GeV has been measured with the TASSO detector at the e + e − storage ring PETRA. The angular distribution is flat within the accepted CM angular range | cos Θ ∗ |⩽0.7 . The integrated cross section (| cos Θ ∗ |⩽0.6) drops from about 4 nb at 2 GeV to less than 0.5 nb above 3 GeV. For the two-photon production of the η c (2984) and its subsequent decay into proton-antiproton the upper limit Γ(η c →γγ)· B (η c → p p )<0.32 keV (95% CL) is found.

Total cross sections for reactions e + e − → π + π − π 0 , π + π − π 0 , 2 π + 2 π − π 0 , 2 π + 2 π − 2 π 0 , 3 π + 3 π − have been measured in the total c.m. energy range 1.42–2.20 GeV. Partial R = σ had / σ σ + μ − values for two and four produced charged pions, and cross sections for positive and negative G -parity states are also reported.
THE CROSS SECTIONS FOR PRODUCING AN ODD OR EVEN NUMBER OF PIONS CORRESPOND TO NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE G-PARITY FINAL STATES. CROSS SECTION FOR E+ E- --> PI+ PI+ PI+ PI- PI- PI- IS LESS THAN ABOUT 2 NB IN THIS ENERGY RANGE.

The total cross section for hadron production by e+e− annihilation has been measured at center-of-mass energies between 2.4 and 5.0 GeV. Aside from the very narrow resonances ψ(3105) and ψ(3695), the cross section varies between 32 and 17 nb over this region with structure in the vicinity of 4.1 GeV.

MEAN CHARGED MULTIPLICITY. ERRORS ARE STATISTICAL ONLY.
Inclusive momentum spectra and multiplicity distributions of charged particles measured with BESII detector at center of mass energies of 2.2,2.6,3.0,3.2,4.6 and 4.8 GeV are presented. Values of the second binomial moment, $R_2$, obtained from the multiplicity distributions are reported. These results are compared with both experimental data from high energy $e^+e^-$, $ep$ and $p\bar{p}$ experiments and QCD calculations.
Measured xi =-ln(2p/sqrt(s)) spectra for centre of mass energy 2.2 GeV.. Errors are statistical and systematic added in quadrature.
Measured xi =-ln(2p/sqrt(s)) spectra for centre of mass energy 2.6 GeV.. Errors are statistical and systematic added in quadrature.
Measured xi =-ln(2p/sqrt(s)) spectra for centre of mass energy 3.0 GeV.. Errors are statistical and systematic added in quadrature.
We present new high statistics data on hadron production in photon-photon reactions. The data are analyzed in terms of an electron-photon scattering formalism. The dependence of the total cross section of Q 2 , the four-momentum transfer squared of the scattered electron, and on the mass W of the hadronic system is investigated. The data are compared to predictions from Vector-Meson Dominance and the quark model.

DEPENDENCE ON VISIBLE HADRONIC INVARIANT MASS.
Data read from graph.
We report experimental results on the cross section for the reaction e + e − → hadrons as a function of the total c.m. energy in the range W = 1.42–3.09 GeV. The results, combined with those already existing below the charm threshold, clearly indicate a structure for R ( W ) = α ( e + e − → hadrons)/ α ( e + e − → μ + μ − ) in that energy region.
THE ENERGY RANGES OF THE NEW DATA AND THE PREVIOUS (REVISED) DATA OVERLAP BETWEEN 1.9 AND 2.0 GEV. RADIATIVE CORRECTIONS HAVE BEEN APPLIED TO ALL DATA. THIS CROSS SECTION EXCLUDES TWO-BODY FINAL STATES.
AVERAGE CHARGED AND NEUTRAL MULTIPLICITY. QUOTED ERRORS ARE STATISTICAL ONLY.
We study the processes e+ e- --> 3(pi+pi-)gamma, 2(pi+pi-pi0)gamma and K+ K- 2(pi+pi-)gamma, with the photon radiated from the initial state. About 20,000, 33,000 and 4,000 fully reconstructed events, respectively, have been selected from 232 fb-1 of BaBar data. The invariant mass of the hadronic final state defines the effective e+e- center-of-mass energy, so that these data can be compared with the corresponding direct e+e- measurements. From the 3(pi+pi-), 2(pi+pi-pi0) and K+ K- 2(pi+pi-) mass spectra, the cross sections for the processes e+ e- --> 3(pi+pi-), e+ e- --> 2(pi+pi-pi0) and e+ e- --> K+ K- 2(pi+pi-) are measured for center-of-mass energies from production threshold to 4.5 GeV. The uncertainty in the cross section measurement is typically 6-15%. We observe the J/psi in all these final states and measure the corresponding branching fractions.

Cross sections for e^+e^- -> ppbar have been measured at 10 center-of-mass energies from 2.0 to 3.07 GeV by the BESII experiment at the BEPC, and proton electromagnetic form factors in the time-like region have been determined.
