The spin correlation parameter A00kk (pp) has been measured in the angular region 45°<θCM<90° at 0.719, 0.834, 0.874, 0.934, 0.995 and 1.095 GeV using the SATURNE II polarized proton beam incident on a polarized target. The parameters A00nn(pp and A00sk(pp) were measured at 0.874 in the same angular region.

The spin correlation parameter A oonn for pp elastic scattering was measured at 0.88, 1.1, 1.3, 1.6, 1.8, 2.1, 2.4 and 2.7 GeV using the SATURNE II polarized proton beam and the Saclay frozen spin polarized target. At the first two energies, the new measurements at θ CM < 50° complete our previous data from 45° to 90°. Between 1.3 and 2.7 GeV the measurements were performed in two overlapping angular regions covering together the CM angles from 28° (at the lower energies) or 18° (at the highest energy) to > 90°. At all energies above 1.3 GeV the angular distribution shows a dip at fixed four-momentum transfer − t ∼ 0.90 (GeV/ c ) 2 . The value of A oonn ( θ CM = 90°) decreases from A oonn (90°) ≅ 0.57 at 0.88 GeV to A oonn (90°) ≅ 0.35 at 2.7 GeV. However, the large value found at 1.8 GeV indicates that the energy dependence is not monotonic.

The parameters D, R, R' and P for pp elastic scattering have been measured in the centre-of-mass angular range 13 degrees to 58 degrees with an accuracy of about +or-0.02 at 209, 324, 379, 425 and 515 MeV. These results are incorporated with earlier data into a phase-shift analysis. Phase-shifts are generally in agreement with the theoretical predictions of the Paris group, although the F-wave spin-orbit combination is rather stronger than predicted. The fitted value for the pi 0pp coupling constant in g02=14.06+or-0.65.

The differential cross-section in proton-proton scattering at 144 ± 1.5 MeV has been measured over the Coulomb-nuclear interference region. When the present data are included in a phase-shift analysis the resultant phas-shifts are only slightly changed from their previous values.

A measurement of the spin correlation parameters A xx (90° cm) and A yy (90° cm) of 47.5 MeV proton-proton scattering has been performed by means of polarized beam and a polarized target.

Proton-proton elastic differential cross sections have been measured for incident laboratory momenta of 600-1800 MeVc and c.m. angles of 5°-90°. The data span, in a single experiment, the intermediate energy region from isotropic differential cross sections at lower energies to the development of a clear diffraction peak at higher energies. Parameters for phenomenological formulations derived from the experimental results are presented.

The analyzing power Ay for p+p elastic scattering at θlab=8.64°±0.07° (θcms=18.1°) and at a bombarding energy of 183.1±0.4 MeV has been determined to be Ay=0.2122±0.0017. The error includes statistics, systematic uncertainties, and the uncertainty in bombarding energy and angle. This measurement represents a calibration standard for polarized beams in this energy range. The absolute scale for the measurement has been obtained by comparison with p+C elastic scattering at the same energy at an angle where Ay is very nearly unity.
Axis error includes +- 0.0/0.0 contribution (?////).
